On March 26, 2024, at 5:37 AM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Danny A. Hoffman (70), of Forreston, IL, was traveling north on North 18th Avenue, merged into an adjacent lane colliding with a second vehicle which was also traveling north on North 18th Avenue, operated by Leticia Castellanos Luna (35), of Monroe. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were drivable. Hoffman was cited for an unsafe lane deviation, and released pending a court appearance. Castellanos Luna was cited for operating without a valid driver's license and released pending a court appearance. On March 26, 2024, at 3:04 PM, officers arrested Laverne J. Richards (56), of Monroe, in the 400 block of West 21st Street, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department on a prior drug case. Richards was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Richards was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 25, 2024, at 3:03 PM, officers were called to a disturbance in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue West. An investigation indicated that the incident was apparently a road rage incident where a handgun was displayed. The investigation further led to the arrest of Kevin D. Klemm (47), of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed. Klemm was booked and later released pending a court appearance.
On March 21, 2024, at 1:18 PM, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2200 block of 4th Avenue West. The investigation led to the arrest of Kenneth L. Johnson (61), of Monroe, on charges of battery, false imprisonment, intimidation of a victim and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws. Johnson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 20, 2024, at 3:26 PM, officers were dispatched to the intersection of West 8th Street and 6th Avenue West for a motor vehicle accident with no reported injuries. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Charlotte A. Hartwig (77), of Monroe, traveling north on 6th Avenue West, stopped at West 8th Street and proceeded north. A second vehicle, operated by Madison P. Marek (23), of Freeport, IL, traveling south on 6th Avenue West, stopped at West 8th Street, then proceeded to turn east on West 8th Street, colliding with the first vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were drivable. During the investigation, officers discovered marijuana in the Marek vehicle, and Marek was cited for possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) and released pending a court appearance. On March 20, 2024, at 3:45 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 21st Street and 11th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Ambralee S. Aguilar (43), of Monroe, was westbound on 21st Street and rear-ended a second westbound vehicle on 21st Street, operated by Carrie A. Hartman (46), of Monroe. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were drivable. Aguilar was cited for following too closely and released pending a court appearance. On March 20, 2024, at 4:47 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of STH 69 and STH 11/81 at North 18th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Larry W. David (77), of Brodhead, was turning from the STH 11/81 off ramp, on to northbound STH 69, and collided with a second vehicle, traveling north on STH 69, operated by Kenneth L. Johnson (77), of Gratiot. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. David reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Green County EMS. David was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, and released pending a court appearance.
On March 17, 2024, at 2:23 AM, officers arrested Eduardo Barrios Gomez (21), of Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 2500 block of 13th Street. Barrios Gomez was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-2nd offense, and also cited for operating after revocation-alcohol related conviction, operating without taillights, and operating without an ignition interlock device. Barrios Gomez was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance. On March 17, 2024, at 4:52 PM, officers were called to a single vehicle accident, with no reported injuries, in the 2900 block of 9th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Juana M. Vazquez (23), of Monroe, was northbound in the 2900 block of 9th Avenue, left the roadway, colliding with a power pole, causing damage. Alliant Energy, pole owners, responded for repairs. The vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Vazquez was cited for operating without a valid driver's license, operating without insurance, and failure to have the vehicle under control. Vazquez was released pending a court appearance. On March 17, 2024, at 5:44 PM, officers arrested Julio Vazquez (22), of Monroe, in the 2900 block of 9th Avenue, on warrants issued by the Monroe Police Department for a prior felony assault case. Vazquez was also arrested on a Green County Sheriff warrant for failing to report to jail. Vazquez was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 15, 2024, at 1:53 PM, officers arrested Timothy D. Kennedy (42), of Monroe, in the 1000 block of 7th Street, on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws. The arrest was a result of an investigation into an earlier reported domestic incident in the 1500 block of 11th Street. Kennedy was also charged with two (2) counts of felony bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior separate case, and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 11, 2024, at 7:54 PM, officers arrested Trevor R. Frie (33), of Monroe, at the Monroe Police Department, 1811 12th Street, on an arrest warrant. Frie was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 10, 2024, at 3:18 AM, officers were called to a traffic complaint in the 700 block of 8th Avenue regarding a loud exhaust. The vehicle was located nearby. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Jacob O. MIller (22), of Monroe on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. Miller was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration-1st offense, and was later released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On March 9, 2024, at 11:54 PM, officers were called to a report of a fight in progress at a business in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of two men. Bryant H. Thomas (24), of Normal, IL, was charged with disorderly conduct, battery and resisting arrest. Thomas was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. Jack C. Gauthier (23), of Freeport, IL, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 8, 2024, at 1:28 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 700 block of 8th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Amanda J. Gerber (43), of Monroe, turned south from a private drive on to 8th Avenue and collided with a vehicle which was also southbound on 8th Avenue, operated by a 34-year-old Monroe woman. Gerber's vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the other vehicle sustained minor damage. Gerber was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a private drive, and released pending a court appearance.
On March 4, 2024, at 4:13 PM< officers arrested Paul B. Baker (44), of Monroe, at a business in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue, on an arrest warrant from the Green County Sheriff's Office. baker was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 3, 2024, at 4:40 PM, officers arrested Austin J. Dezort (25), of Monroe, in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue, on an active arrest warrant through the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. Dezort was confined in the Green County Jail pending transfer to Milwaukee County.
On February 29, 2024, at 2:00 AM, officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 1700 block of 17th Avenue for a vehicle operating without taillights. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Joshua J. Montgomery (47), of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence-1st offense. Montgomery was also cited for operating without taillights during hours of darkness. and was later released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance. On February 29, 2024, at 11:59 PM, officers arrested Calvin J. Gassman (69), of Lena, IL, following a traffic offense stop in the 2000 block of 10th Avenue. Gassman was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence-1st offense, and was also cited for an improper left turn. Gassman was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance. On February 29, 2024, at 11:59 PM, officers arrested Amber R. Gassman (37), of Monroe, in connection with a traffic offense stop of a vehicle which Gassman was a passenger in. During that stop, officers found open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. That evidence led to Gassman being charged with two counts of felony bail jumping due to violations of bail conditions on other prior felony cases prohibiting the possession or consumption of alcohol, and also being charged with two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping due to violations of bail conditions of other prior misdemeanor cases with the same prohibitions. Gassman was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On February 26, 2024, at 3:25 PM, Eric A. Calkins (37), of Albany, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest for charges through the Rock County WI Sheriff's Office, following a traffic stop at the intersection of 9th Street and 14th Avenue. Calkins was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings. On February 26, 2024, at 3:46 PM, officers were called to a residence in the 1200 block of 10th Street for a report of a motor vehicle theft. An investigation led to the arrest of Frederick S. Neuenschwander (57), of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. Neuenschwander was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On February 26, 2024, at 9:21 PM, officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of West 21st Street to assist the Green County Sheriff's Office with an investigation. After the investigation, officers arrested Amber R. Gassman (37), of Monroe, for bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a separate prior case, and with possession of methamphetamine. Gassman was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On February 25, 2024, at 4:56 PM, officers arrested Trevor R. Frie (33), of Monroe, in the 700 block of 12th Avenue, on an apprehension request issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Frie was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On February 24, 2024, at 3:38 PM, officers were called to a residence in the 500 block of 16th Avenue for a report of a suspicious person. An investigation led to the arrest of Michelle M. Miller (42), of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and a subsequent hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation rule violation. Miller was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On February 21, 2024, at 12:01 PM, officers were called to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident with injuries at the intersection of 16th Avenue and 13th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Samantha J.S. Goodman (23), of Monroe, was traveling east on 13th Street, and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk at 16th Avenue. The pedestrian was identified as Wendy J. Dyrhaug (46), of Belleville. Dyrhaug reported injuries but declined medical transport. Goodman's vehicle sustained minor damages and was driven from the scene. Goodman was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and released pending a court appearance. On February 21, 2024, at 9:04 PM, officers were called to the 2400 block of 10th Street for an altercation. The investigation led to the arrest of Hannah J. Peterson (18), of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws, and with obstructing an officer. Peterson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On February 21, 2024, at 10:05 PM, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of 20th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Tristan J. Wilde (25), of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct while armed with scissors and criminal damage to property under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws. Wilde was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On February 18, 2024, at 3:19 AM, officers arrested Harol W. Iglesias Bustillo (25), of Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 2200 block of 6th Avenue. Iglesias Bustillo was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-2nd offense, and also cited for operating without a valid driver's license, display of false registration, operating without insurance, and operating without stop lamps. Iglesias Bustillo was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On February 17, 2024, at 10:29 PM, officers arrested Mark W. Scott (66), of Monroe, in the 1800 block of 12th Street, on a charge of felony bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior case prohibiting alcohol consumption. Scott was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and placed on a probation hold by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Scott was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On February 14, 2024, at 8:18 AM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 20th Avenue and 7th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Valeria Ruiz Valerio (26), of Monroe, was traveling west on 7th Street, stopped at the stop sign at 20th Avenue, then entered the intersection, colliding with a vehicle southbound on 20th Avenue, operated by Dorothy H. Mockenhaupt (58), of Monticello. Both vehicles sustained functional damages and were towed. Valerio was cited for operating without a valid driver's license and failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. Valerio was released pending a court appearance.
On February 13, 2024, at 1:40 AM, officers were dispatched to a 911 call in the 800 block of 30th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Shawn S. Francis (30), of Monroe, on charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws. Francis was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On February 13, 2024, at 4:27 PM, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue. The vehicle was located and stopped. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Brandon S. Richardson (34), of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-3rd offense. Richardson was also cited for operating while suspended, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and non-registration of a vehicle. Richardson was confined in the Green County Jail.
On February 11, 2024, art 2:38 AM, officers conducted a traffic offense stop for an improper stop at a stop sign, at the intersection of 9th Street and 17th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Mason D. Waage (22), of Argyle, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. Waage was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Waage was confined in the Green County Jail, and later released pending a court appearance. On February 11, 2024, at 3;31 AM, officers were called to a one-vehicle versus a residential deck accident with no reported injuries, in the 700 block of 17th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Vanessa Castellanos (29), of Monroe, was eastbound on 17th Street, turned right and collided with a deck to a residence. Castellanos was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Castellanos's vehicle sustained functional damage and remained at the scene, and the deck sustained moderate damages. Castellanos was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On February 9, 2024, at 6:47 PM, officers were called to a retail theft incident in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. The investigation led to the arrest of Ian J. Grap (40, of Argyle, on a charge of retail theft, and a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior case. Grap was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On February 4, 2024, at 1:35 AM, officers were called to a disturbance in the 900 block of 20th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Candelario Mejia Gutierrez (46), of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct. Mejia Gutierrez was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On Friday, February 2, 2024, at about 2:54 PM, Monroe Police investigated a report of fatal motor vehicle accident, involving a truck striking a pedestrian in a business parking lot. The Green County Coroner has released the name of the person who was tragically, fatally injured. According to the investigation so far, the fatally injured person was Carmen E. Hale, 28, of Monroe. Ms. Hale was apparently walking in an employee parking lot of a business after a work shift at 1127 7th Avenue in Monroe, and was struck by a truck which was backing up, operated by Cole D, Syvrud, 27, of Argyle. The truck and operator were part of a contracted utility crew that was doing underground work at the business. All parties are cooperating with the Police Department, and the incident remains under investigation.
On February 2, 2024, at 1:26 AM, officers arrested Indya C. Pierre (34), of New Glarus, following a traffic offense stop in the 2000 block of 4th Street. Pierre was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and also cited for failure to signal turn and improper stop at a stop sign. Pierre was booked and later released pending a court appearance.
On February 1, 2024, at 11:06 AM, officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 1500 block of 16th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle driver, Catlin C. Wiese (36), of Monroe, on an arrest warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Office. Wiese was also cited for operating while suspended, and confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On February 1, 2024, at 3:21 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 19th Avenue and 11th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Stacey L. Shepherd (55), of Monroe, was traveling north on 19th Avenue, failed to stop for a stop sign, entered the intersection and collided with a vehicle operated by Mary Richardson (73), of Monroe. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Shepherd was cited for failure to stop for a stop sign and for operating without insurance, and released pending a court appearance.
On January 31, 2024, at 2:30 PM, officers on a separate call in the 2200 block of 12th Street located a person wanted on an arrest warrant. David C. Kraft (47), of Monroe, was arrested on an arrest warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Office. Kraft was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On January 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 18th Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. The investigation led to the arrest of Amanda R. Nevenhoven (35), Monroe, on charges of battery and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws. Nevenhoven later posted cash bail and was released pending a court appearance.
On January 23, 2024, at 3:56 PM, officers were called to the 300 block of 6th Avenue West for a report of a disturbance. The investigation led to the arrest of Christopher M. Jaworski (31), Brodhead, on charges of disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats. Jaworski was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On January 22, 2024, at 9:34 AM, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West 6th Street for a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Lois J. Gordon (84), Darlington, was exiting a private driveway and failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle traveling east on West 6th Street, operated by Kathleen M. Goecks (66), Juda. Both vehicles sustained moderate damages, and the Gordon vehicle was towed. Gordon was cited for failure to yield the right of way when emerging from a driveway and released pending a court appearance. On January 22, 2024, at 11:26 AM, officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 4th Avenue West and 10 1/2 Street. The investigation indicated that a semi tractor/trailer operated by Blaker J. Boeckenstedt (29), La Motte, IA, was traveling north on 4th Avenue West, and was struck by a vehicle traveling east on 10 1/2 Street, operated by Irene A. Chambers (79), Monroe. Chambers reported that she stopped at the stop sign at 4th Avenue West on 10 1/2 street and did not see the semi tractor/trailer. The semi unit sustained moderate damage, and the other vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. Chambers was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.
On January 21, 2024, at 11:01 AM, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of 26th Street for a report of a person with an arrest warrant. The investigation led to the arrest of Jackie L. Smith (37), Bagley, on an arrest warrant from Waukesha County, WI. Smith was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On January 21, 2024, at 11:54 PM, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West for a report of a disorderly person. The investigation led to the arrest of Chelsey A. Voigt (30), Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct (while armed with brass knuckles), criminal damage to property and four (4) counts of bail jumping due to violations of bail conditions from prior cases. Voigt was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On January 21, 2024, at 3:56 PM, officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of 11th Street for a report of a theft which had previously occurred. The investigation led to the arrest of Timothy D. Kennedy (41), Monroe, on a charge of retail theft, and for bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior case. Kennedy was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On January 18, 2024, at 3:12 PM, officers were contacted regarding a domestic related incident near 11th Street and 17th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Roy A. Zentner (30), Monroe, on charges of battery and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin's Domestic Violence laws. Zentner was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On January 14, 2024, at 1:17 AM, officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 1800 block of 11th Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher A. Dodd (26), Brodhead, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. Dodd was also cited for operating without headlights during hours of darkness. Dodd was released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On January 5, 2024, at 5:31 PM, officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 600 block of STH 69. The investigation led to the arrest of Alexis D. Nelson (38), Freeport, IL, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger under age 16-1st offense. Nelson was also cited for failure to properly maintain headlamps and failure to properly restrain a child aged 4-8. Nelson posted cash bail and was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.
On January 1, 2024, at 12:59 PM, officers arrested Kyle A. Ralph (37), Monroe, in the 200 block of 4th Avenue, on an apprehension request fr0m the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Ralph was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On January 1, 2024, at 4:19 AM, officers were called to a report of a large fight in the street in the 1000 block of 19th Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Derek J. Rose (30), Monroe on charges of disorderl;y conduct and obstructing an officer. The investigation also led to the arrest of Samantha L. Rose (25), on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and obstructing an officer. Both were confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On December 30, 2023, at 2:53 AM, officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 400 block of West 10 1/2 Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Justin S. Keeran (33), Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-3rd offense, and possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (marijuana). Keeran was also cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed. Keeran was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On December 30, 2023, at 7:53 PM, officers were callled to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of 27th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Rafael Espinoza Delgadillo (54), Galena, IL, on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed under Wisconsin's Domestic violence laws. Espinoza Delgadillo was released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.
